Although a bit removed from typical touristy areas - this was a great countryside vineyard property. The grounds are very nice w/vineyards surrounding you in all directions. VERY quiet and you are fully aware that you are in the country.

Wonderful location, nice grounds with a lovely pool, lots to see in the area. We will not criticise the hotel for the noisiness of some of the Italian families round the pool which made it hard to relax at times.
No air conditioning in our room - not a problem unless it is hot

Great location. Splendid room. What a landscape! On tuesday we enjoyed a delicious dinner. It was a pity we only booked two nights instead of a whole week!

Castelvecchi is a beautiul location,with the Fattoria at the very top of the steep hill, even for cyclists! The room was fine and the value was excellent, staff were friendly, just wished I could speak more Italian!
The shower was too small!

We found booking in when we arrived very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and plenty of it and the food was so fresh. We dined a couple of times at the restaurant for dinner and the food was great. The surrounding area is very beautiful - it is in an area away from everything but we think that is the beauty of the place. It is very photogenic.
The room we had was very basic but adequate considering we didn't really spend any time much in them. My only comment would be that the bed was not that comfortable an felt that maybe the mattress was due for a change.
